We've now enabled server-to-server tracking between Mapp Intelligence and Google Tag Manager, optimizing your website's performance and data accuracy!

Key Benefits

You can send server-to-server tracking requests with Google Tag Manager via server-side tagging. This reduces website load and improves data quality and privacy as compared to sending requests directly from your visitor's browser. A guide to the data quality of different tracking options can be found here.

How does it work?

  1. You will need to have a tagging server. If yours is not already set up, Google has a guide here.
  2. Set up the server container in GTM with our Mapp Intelligence template.
  3. Finally, complete the mandatory configurations for Mapp Intelligence.

Please see our guide here for more information.

Availability

This feature went live on November 17th. You need permission from Google Tag Manager to use Server-side Tagging.
