Onsite teasers serve to attract attention and redirect your website visitors to a specific page or offer. Using Mapp's advanced teaser tracking, you get detailed information about each teaser's views, clicks, and engagement. This update improves your ability to evaluate the order of viewed and clicked teasers.

Key Benefits

  • Understand the exact order of teaser views and clicks on a specific page.
  • Identify and follow teaser engagement more efficiently, especially when specific pages follow these interactions.

How does it work?

Make sure that Teaser tracking is integrated and set up. Learn more here...

We've added two new dimensions that show the viewed and clicked teasers. The default names are Teaser name (viewed) and Teaser name (clicked). The title can differ based on your chosen name of the parameter in the teaser configuration.

You can now filter specific teasers in the filter engine by using the new dimensions

Example: The sequence of viewed teasers on a page per day...
  1. In Mapp Intelligence, open the analysis Visitors > Traffic
  2. Open the filter engine by clicking on custom filter
    1. Choose the scope Pages to limit the sequence on a specific page
    2. Add the first filter: use the dimension Teaser name (viewed) and add the name of the first teaser (in our example, "Teaser A")
    3. Click Add new filter and Select Then to activate sequence filtering
    4. Use the dimension Teaser name (viewed) as the second filter and add the name of the second teaser (in our example, "Teaser B")
    5. Apply the filter
  3. Using the metric Page Impressions, you will see how often Teaser A and Teaser B have been viewed in this exact order on a specific page.

Example: The sequence of clicked teaser and a viewed page per day...
  1. In Mapp Intelligence, open the analysis Visitors > Traffic
  2. Open the filter engine by clicking on custom filter
    1. Choose the scope Visit to limit the sequence on a visit
    2. Add the first filter: use the dimension Teaser name (clicked) and add the name of the first teaser (in our example, "Teaser A")
    3. Click Add new filter and Select Then to activate sequence filtering
    4. Use the dimension Pages as the second filter and add the name of follower page (in our example, "products.overview")
    5. Apply the filter
  3. Using the metric Visits, you will see how many times Teaser A led to the page products.overview within a visit.
