Goal​

To log in as another system user temporarily.

Prerequisite​

  • You have permission to view and edit other system users: ​2000 System Administration: View and edit all system users .

  • You have permission to log in as another system user: ​221 User Administration: Log in as another user​.

You do not need to know the password of the other system user.

Background Information​

You can log in to Mapp Engage as another system user whose system role assignment has a lower index value than your current system role. You log in with your own username and password. When you log in as another system user, the ownership and permissions available to the selected system user are valid for the session.

Use this action when you want to troubleshoot any problems that another system user experiences when they work with Mapp Engage.

  • See and experience exactly what the other system user sees and experiences in the system.

  • Check the options and features that are available to the system user.

  • Identify problems that result from permissions that are not enabled for their system role.

Procedure​

  1. In the ​Main Navigation​, click ​User Management​ > ​System Users​. The ​System User Overview​ window opens.
  2. Next to the system user, click  Log in As​. The Mapp Engage login page opens in a new browser window or tab.
  3. In the ​Password​ input field, enter the password for your own system user account.
  4. Click ​Log in​. Mapp Engage opens to the ​Start​ page. The ownership and permissions available to the selected system user are valid for this session.
