What Can I Do in this Window?​

  • Add a system user who can log in and work in your system.

  • Delete, block, and restore system users.

  • Reset the password of a system user.

Actions​

  • ​Create:​ Creates a new Mapp Engage system user who can log in and work in your system.

  • Filter:​ Filters the system user list by the criteria that are entered in the text fields.
  • ​Remove Filter​: Resets the filters on the system user list.

Actions

Description

Opens a context menu where you can select from the following commands.

​Edit​

Allows you to enter or change account details for the selected system user. You can also change the system role assignment. This option is only available when the system user is assigned a system role with an index value that is lower than your own. For more information, see Edit System User Account.

Group Roles​

Allows you to manage the group roles of the selected system user. You can only assign group roles if the system user has a contact profile. For more information, see Group Roles.

​Log in As​

Opens the Mapp Engage login page in a new browser window or tab. Here you can sign in as the selected system user. To log in, use your own username and password.

The ownership and permissions available to the selected system user are valid for this session. When you log in as another system user, information displays according to the system and group roles that are assigned to this system user. Use this action when you want to troubleshoot problems of another system user. For more information, see Log in as Another System User.

​Password​

Opens the ​Set Password​ window. Here you change the password that is assigned to the selected system user account. For more information, see Set Password for a System User.

​Delete​

Deletes the selected system user from Mapp Engage, after an additional confirmation request. This option is only available when the system user is assigned a system role with an index value lower than your own. If the system user has a linked contact profile, the contact profile is not deleted. For more information, see Delete System User.

​Block​

Blocks the selected system user account. A system user who is blocked cannot log in to Mapp Engage. This option is only available when the system user is assigned a system role with an index value lower than your own. For more information, see Block System Access.

​Restore​

Unblocks the selected system user account. This option is only available when the system user account is blocked.

Shows the menu to select commands or  to edit a system user.

ID

Shows the ID assigned to the system user account.

​Name​

Shows the last name and first initial of the system user.

Email Address​

Shows the email address of the system user.

​Role (Messaging)​

Shows the current system role that is assigned to the system user account for the Messaging area in Mapp Engage.

​Role (Social) ​

Scroll over the Messaging role to see the role that the system user has in Social.

​Type​

Shows the user type that is assigned to the system user. This setting is used to classify the accounts in your system. The following options are available:

  • UI User:​ The system user is a person who logs in to Mapp Engage and interacts with the user interface.

  • ​API User:​ The system user is an automated process or interface that interacts directly with the Mapp Engage database using an API.

  • Hybrid User:​ The system user is a person who accesses Mapp Engage both through the user interface and through an API.

​Last Login​

Shows the date and time when the system user last logged in to Mapp Engage. Mapp Engage does not track the logins of API users.

​Access Blocked​

Shows the date and time when the system user was blocked.
