Navigation Path​


  1. In the ​main navigation​, click ​Messages > Outbox > Email
  2. In the ​Actions​ column, click  Edit Links​
    The ​Link Redirection​  window opens.


Purpose​

The ​Edit Links​ window displays an overview of all links in a message. From this window, you can change the destination of the links and edit the internal name of the link.

It is not possible to edit the text that is displayed for the link from this window. You can manually edit link text in the HTML code of the message. For more information, see ​Add Email Content​.

You can redirect the destination of a link even after sendout. For more information, see ​Redirect Links After Sendout​.

Information

Description

​Name​

Shows the internal name of the image. This name is used for identification in Mapp Engage. Similar links can be given names to make it possible to distinguish the links from one another in the statistics area.

​URL / Description​

The URL shows the destination of the link. The description shows the description of the link that is entered during message creation.

​Category​

Shows a category of the link. A link category is an internal label that is used to identify links in Mapp Engage.

​Format​

Shows the format of the link.


Available Actions​

To view the available actions for a link, click the symbol in the ​Actions​ column next to the link.

Opens the ​Redirect Link​ window.

​Redirect Links​

Opens the ​Redirect Link​ window.

  • ​Old URL: ​ Shows the current destination of the link. This URL cannot be edited.
  • ​New URL:​ Enters a new destination for the selected link. The URL must have the format http://www.mypage.com.
  • ​Cancel:​ Closes the ​Redirect Link​ window without saving any changes.
  • ​Save:​ Saves changes and opens the ​Edit Links​ window.

​Give Name​

Opens the ​Give Name​ window.

  • ​Name: ​Assigns a name to the link. Mapp Engage uses this name to identify the link. Link names make it easier to distinguish the links in the statistics area.
  • ​Cancel:​ Closes the ​Redirect Link​ window without saving any changes.
  • ​Save:​ Saves changes and opens the ​Edit Links​ window.

​Assign Category​

Selects a link category. For more information, see ​Link Categories​.

​Apply​

Assigns the selected link category to the selected links.
