Transfer Ownership Window

Mapp Engage offers a simple method to change the ownership of CMS messages. This method is useful to edit a message or to change an owner who no longer uses Mapp Engage (for example, because they have left the company).

The owner of a message gets much information about a message and is responsible for the workflow of a CMS message.

For example, the owner can nominate contributors for single paragraphs and block the paragraphs from editing. Therefore, transfer ownership even for short period of absence of the owner.

Example for Sequential Editing of a CMS Message by Transferring the Owner:

A CMS Message is created centrally with the general content, such as pictures of promoted products. This message is copied for different branches and language variations. These messages are then assigned to local owners. The new owner changes the message individually. This change could be a translation of the text or the insertion of local information from the branch.

  • Current Owner: Shows the owner of the CMS Message. The creator of the CMS Message is automatically set as owner. Only after transferring the ownership is a different owner than shown here.
  • Name of message: Shows the name of the CMS Message.
  • Transfer ownership to: Shows the selected new owner.
  • Search: Opens the Search User window. This window is where you select a new owner for the message. If the owner is not registered within the system, see New Contact Profile (window).
  • Transfer ownership: This button saves the new owner in the system.
