What can I do in this window?

  • Create or edit, a prepared message.
  • Copy or view a prepared message.
  • Use the Copy & Send action to send a copy of the prepared message to group members.
  • Open the Current Use window to see whether the selection is in use in any automations or on a whiteboard.
  • Archive unused prepared messages.

New Message

Opens the Message Creation window. Here you can create a message and save it as a prepared message.

View

Opens the message in preview mode. You cannot change the message in preview mode.

Edit

Opens the message in edit mode. You can edit the content of the prepared message at any time, even if the prepared message is used in selections and automations. This ability to edit includes the name and subject line. However, you cannot change the group to which the prepared message is assigned.

Copy

Creates a copy of the message and opens the Message Creation window. The copy has a new message ID and can be assigned to a different group. The copy is not associated with the original in any way. Copies of the message created this way are not considered in selections or automations that reference this prepared message.

Copy & Send

Creates a copy of the message and opens the Prepare Sendout window for sendout to the group. The copy must be sent to the group to which the prepared message is assigned. It is not possible to edit the message or change the group before sendout. All copies of the prepared message you create this way are considered in selections and automations that reference the prepared message.

This action sends the prepared message as a group message.

Edit Links

Opens the Edit Links window where you can redirect the links by changing the name and URL of the links in the message. Link redirection applies to all past and future sendouts of a prepared message.

To change the link itself (for example, add a link category or link tracking), click Edit and edit the prepared message. These changes apply to future sendouts only.

View Use

Opens the Current Use window. Here you can see whether the selection is in use in any automations or whiteboard plans.
