Navigation Path​

  1. Edit a CMS Paragraph​ of a CMS Message​ .
    ⇒ The Edit CMS Message​ window opens.
  2. In the Image​ area, insert an image.
  3. Click the Save​ button.
    ⇒ The image is added to the CMS paragraph.
  4. Click the Image Map​ button.
    ⇒ The ​Insert/Edit Image Map​ window opens.

The Insert/Edit Image Map window​

The Insert/Edit Image Map​ window allows you to insert and edit hyperlinks in images. There can be any number of hyperlinks embedded into an image. The toolbar in the image map area offers a variety of shapes to select the precise areas of an image that you want to link to a specific website or landing page.

Toolbar​

The toolbar allows you to select the desired image area using a variety of tools. Image links can be deleted individually.

  • : The Pointer​ tool selects the desired image link.
  • : The Rectangle​ tool marks a rectangular area in the image.

    By holding the Shift button, the Rectangle​ tool marks a square image area.

  • : The Circle​ tool marks a circular area in the image.
  • : The Polygon​ tool marks an area of ​​any shape in the image.

    To set the final point of the polygon, click while holding the Shift key.

  • : The Delete Selected Area​ tool deletes the selected image link.
  • Zoom: This drop-down list defines the scaling of the image to 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% or 300%.


Link properties​

After marking the desired image area, the properties of the image links are defined. The properties are set separately for each image link.

  • URL: This input field defines the URL of the website or landing page referenced by the image link.
  • Info: This input field defines the additional information text that is displayed to the recipient when the mouse pointer is placed over an image map.
  • Link Behaviour: This drop-down list defines how the website or landing page opens in the Web browser.
    • Not Set: This option opens the link in the same window or tab where the recipient is currently located. This option is selected by default.
    • Same Window: This option opens the link in the same window or tab where the recipient is currently located.
    • New Window: This option opens the link in a new window or tab.
    • Primary Window: This option opens the link in the top window or table. If the current window or the current tab is already at the top, the link opens in the same window or tab.

      How the website or landing page is opened depends on the recipient's web browser, the recipient's individual browser settings and the email client with which the recipient receives a message.

General Page Options​

Remove Map: This button removes all image links from the image. The window is closed.

Save: This button saves all inserted and edited image links for the image. The window is closed.

Cancel: This button cancels the insertion and editing of image links. Any unsaved changes will be lost.
