Goal​

To edit the account details for a system user in Mapp Engage.

Prerequisites​

  1. To edit the account of another system user, you need permission to edit system user accounts: ​2000 System Administration: View and edit all system users​. If this permission is not granted to your system role, contact your customer representative.

  2. The system user account that you want to edit is assigned a group role that is ranked lower than your own.

Background Information​

A system user in Mapp Engage with the right permissions can edit the account information for another system user. All system users can edit their own account.

You can only change the system role for other system users if their system role is ranked lower than your own. This restriction also means that you cannot change the system role assignment for your own account.

A system user account can be linked to a contact profile with the same email address. If you change the email address of the system user, the email address is also changed in the linked contact profile.

You cannot access or update attribute values in the linked contact profile from this window. To add or update information in the linked contact profile, use the ​Edit Contact Profile​ window. For more information, see Contact Profile (window)​.

Procedure​s

Edit the Account for Another System User

  1. In the ​main navigation​, click ​User Management​ > ​System Users​.
  2. Next to the system user you want to edit, click > Edit​.
  3. Update the information for the system user account.
  4. Click the ​Save​ button.

Edit Your Own System User Account

  1. Click on your user icon in the top right corner of the main navigation. Then click Account Settings.
  2. The Account Settings window opens to the Edit Profile tab. Update the information for your system user account.
  3. Click the ​Save​ button.
