Available Information (table columns)

This table provides an overview of the most frequently contacted domains, in descending order, together with the most important KPIs.

The table only shows up to 20 contacted domains. All other contacted domains are not visible.

  • Domain: This column shows the name of the contacted domain.

  • Messages Sent / Rate: This entry displays the number and percentage of messages sent by our MTA to each domain.

    • Messages Sent: This entry shows the number of messages sent by our MTA to this domain.

    • Rate: This entry displays the percentage of total messages sent in this sendout that were sent to this domain.

  • Hard Bounces / Rate: This entry displays the number and rate of hard bounces. That is, messages that were not received by the mail server

    • Hard Bounces: This is the number of messages that were rejected by the receiving server. The system differentiates between hard and soft bounces. Bounces do not include messages that go into the spam folder or that are answered through automatic replies (for example, out-of-office messages). A hard bounce according to the eec is a delivery failure for a permanent reason (for example, a misspelled email address).

    • Rate: The hard bounce rate is the percentage of total messages sent to this domain that resulted in a hard bounce.

      This is calculated as follows:

Hard Bounces Rate = Hard Bounces at this domain / Total number of Messages Sent to this domain
  • Soft Bounces / Rate: This entry displays the number and rate of soft bounces.
    • Soft Bounces: This is the number of email messages that were rejected by the receiving server. The system differentiates between hard and soft bounces. Bounces do not include messages that go into the spam folder or that are answered through automatic replies (for example, out-of-office messages). A soft bounce, according to eec, is a delivery failure due to a transient condition (for example, the mailbox is full).

    • Rate: The hard bounce rate is the percentage of total messages sent to this domain that resulted in a hard bounce.

      This is calculated as follows:

Soft Bounces Rate = Soft Bounces at this domain / Total number of Messages Sent to this domain
  • Confirmed Openers / Rate: This entry displays the number and rate of confirmed opens for this domain.

    • Confirmed Openers: This entry displays the number of recipients at this domain who opened a message. If a recipient opens a message more than once, this only counts one time. Confirmed opens include all messages where the tracking pixel was displayed and/or a link was clicked.

    • Rate: This is the percentage of confirmed openers at the domain divided by the total number of messages accepted at the domain. (Please note: Confirmed opens include all emails where the tracking pixel was displayed or a link was clicked. It is possible that some recipients opened the email with images suppressed and did not click any link; in these cases, the open cannot be counted.)

      This is calculated as follows:

Confirmed Open Rate = Confirmed Openers at a domain / Accepted messages at a domain
  • Clickers / CTR: This entry displays the number and rate of clicks on message links at the domain.

    • Clickers: This entry displays the number of recipients at each domain who have clicked any link in the message. If a recipient clicks more than one link in the message, this only counts one time. The statistical analysis of link clicks is available under the Link Analysis (tab).

    • CTR (Click Through Rate): This entry displays the number of recipients at each domain who click a link in a message divided by the number of accepted messages at that domain.

      This is calculated as follows:

CTR = Clickers per domain / Accepted messages per domain
