Basic Information

This area provides general information about a message and identifies the sent message.

  • Subject: This entry displays the subject of the message. The subject is displayed to the recipients as the subject line of the message in their inbox. The subject line also helps you to identify the message in the system. The subject line is obligatory for sendout.

  • Message ID: This entry displays the message ID that the system assigns automatically to the system during sendout. The message ID is unique.

  • Group: This entry displays the name of the group to which the message was sent.

  • Sendout: This entry displays the date and time on which the sendout was started.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Messages Sent: This entry displays the total number of messages that the system sent successfully.

  • Bounced / Rate: This entry displays the number and rate of bounces. Bounces are messages that the mail server does not receive.

    • Bounced: This is the number of messages that the receiving server rejected. The system differentiates between hard and soft bounces. Bounces do not include messages that go into the spam folder or that are answered through automatic replies (such as out-of-office messages).
Bounces are either hard bounces or soft bounces, according to the eec:
Hard Bounces: delivery failures for a permanent reason (such as a misspelled email address).
Soft Bounces: delivery failures due to a temporary condition (such as a mailbox full).

    • Rate: The bounce rate displays the percentage of messages that the receiving MTA rejected.
This rate is calculated as follows:

Bounced Rate = Bounced / Total number of Messages Sent in the sendout
  • Confirmed Openers / Rate: This entry displays the number and rate of opens for the message.

    • Confirmed Openers: This entry displays the number of recipients who opened a message. If a recipient opens a message more than once, the message only counts one time. Confirmed openers include all messages where the tracking pixel was displayed or a link was clicked.

    • Confirmed Open Rate: This rate is the number of unique confirmed openers that is divided by the total number of accepted messages.
The Confirmed Open Rate is calculated according to the eec as follows:

Confirmed Open Rate = Confirmed Openers / Accepted messages
  • Clickers / CTR: This entry displays the number and rate of message link clicks.

    • Clickers: This entry displays the number of recipients who have clicked any link in the message. If a recipient clicks more than one link in the message, the message only counts one time. The statistics analysis of link clicks is available under the Link Analysis tab (see Link Analysis (tab)).

    • CTR (Click Through Rate): This entry displays the number of recipients who click a link in a message that is divided by the number of accepted messages.
The CTR is calculated according to the eec as follows:

CTR = Clickers / Accepted Messages
