Navigation Path​

  1. In the Main Navigation​, click Content​ > ​Email​.
    ⇒ The ​Email​ window opens to the  Email Messages​ tab.

Purpose​

This tab gives you an overview of all messages that are created in the Content Management (Email)​ area of your Mapp Engage system.

What can I do in this window?

  • Create a message.

  • Edit an existing message.

  • Copy an existing message.

  • Delete an existing message.

  • Edit the basic information about the message.

To select a message, click the desired message.

Description

​Edit​

When a message is selected, this option opens the ​Compose Email Message​ window.

Depending on the configuration of your blocks and frameworks, you can edit the layout and content of your email message in this window.

This button is available when you select a message in the ​Select Email Message​ overview.

​Copy​

When a message is selected, this option creates a copy of the message. You can assign the copy a new name and save or cancel the copy. When you save the copy, Mapp Engage assigns a new message ID automatically and saves the message to the ​Select Email Message​ overview.

This button is available when you select a message in the ​Select Email Message​ overview.

​Delete​

When a message is selected, this option deletes the selected message, after a confirmation request.

This button is available when you select a message in the ​Select Email Message​ overview.

​Create​

Opens the ​New Email Message​ window.

Here you define the name of the new message and select a message template.


Overview

The overview provides a list of available email messages in the  Content Management​  area. These messages are organized as follows.

Column

Description

​Name​

Shows the name of the message in Mapp Engage. The message name helps you find a message elsewhere in the system (for example, in the statistics). The message name is not visible to the recipient.

Email Template​

Shows the name of the template that is used for the email message creation. The template defines which framework is used for the message.

​Author​

Shows the name of the system user who created the message.

​Creation Date​

Shows the date and time when the message was created.

​Last Changed​

Shows the date and time when the message was last updated.

​Status​

Shows the status of the message. The following states are possible:

  • ​In Progress:​ The message creation is in progress. The message is not ready for sendout.

  • ​Finished:​ The message creation is finished. The message is ready for sendout.

​Assigned To​

Shows the name of the assigned user for this message.


Display Options​

Symbol

Description

Filters the records that Mapp Engage displays in the overview by the filter criteria that you enter in the column header.

Sorts the order in which Mapp Engage displays the records in the overview. The records are sorted by the value in the selected column. Click the arrows once or twice to sort the list in the opposite direction. Click the arrows a third time to stop sorting by this value.

By default, records are sorted by name from A to Z and 0–9.

Adds or removes columns from the current view. To remove a column from the table, click the  symbol and clear the check box that is next to the column name.
