  1. In the ​main navigation, click Statistics​ > Contact.
  2. Click the Group-wide setting.
  3. Select a group from the drop-down list.

Purpose​

This window provides you with insights into the number of active and deactivated contacts in your group, including developments over time.

What can I do in this window?

  • Analyze the development of group membership over time.

  • View the number of members in the group at any given historical moment.

  • Compare the number of active and deactivated group members.

You need the following permission to view these statistics:

508 ​Members: View Group Members​

1111 ​Statistics: Group-wide Contact Statistics.

Basic Information​

The ​Basic Information​ area provides general information about the group.

Information

Description

​Name​

Displays the name of the group. You define the name when you create the group.

​Email​

Displays the email address of the group. You define the email address when you create the group.

​ID​

Displays the group ID. The ID is automatically assigned by the system when the group is created. The group ID is unique. You can use the group ID to search for the group in the system.

​Owner​

Displays the name of the group owner. The group owner has the most permissions in the group. For example, the group owner can send and moderate messages and change the group settings.

​Creation Date​

Displays the date and time when the group was created.

Group Members​

Information

Description

​Members (Total)​

Displays the total number of group members at the time when the data were last calculated. ​Members (Total)​ include group members with any membership status.

​Not-deactivated Members​

Displays the total number of not-deactivated group members at the time when the data were last calculated.

Not-deactivated members include members with the following statuses:

  • Active

  • Pending

  • Awaiting approval

​Deactivated Members​

Displays the total number of deactivated group members at the time when the data were last calculated.

A deactivated contact is a contact to whom you no longer send messages, due to a history of deliverability problems. Deactivation is triggered by responses (non-delivery notifications sent by the contact's MTA to Engage after a sendout).

Deactivated Members​ exclude contacts who are only deactivated system-wide, but not deactivated in this specific group.

​Last Calculated​

Displays the date and time of the last calculation. Engage calculates the statistics daily.

Group Membership Development (Charts)​

Four charts create a visual representation of the development of your contacts over time.

You can use the controls to adjust the time frame that the chart displays.

Move your mouse over the chart to see information for that date.

Displays the total number of group members over time. ​Members (Total)​ include group members with any membership status.

Move your mouse over the chart to see information for that date. Select an area of the chart to zoom in on those dates.

Each data point provides you with the following information: ​Number (difference/percentage).​

  • Number:​ The number of total group members on that day.

  • Difference:​ The difference in the number of total group members since the previous day.

  • Percentage:​ The percentage change in the number of total group members since the previous day.

​Not-deactivated Members​

Displays the total number of not-deactivated group members over time. Move your mouse over the chart to see information for that date. Select an area of the chart to zoom in to those dates.

Not-deactivated members include members with the following statuses:

  • Active

  • Pending

  • Awaiting approval

Displays the change in the number of group members since the previous day. Move your mouse over the chart to see information for that date. Select an area of the chart to zoom in on those dates.

Curve Chart Filter Options​

The curve chart provides several filtering options for defining the time frame for analysis.

Setting

Description

​Zoom​

The predefined time frames filter the display of membership development data as follows:

  • 1w: The chart shows membership development over the course of the last week.

  • 1m: The chart shows membership development over the course of the last month.

  • 3m: The chart shows membership development over the course of the last 3 months.

  • 1y: The chart shows membership development over the course of the last year.

  • All: The chart shows membership development since the group was created.
    The selection shows the data retrospectively from the current date. The dates displayed in the input fields ​From/To are updated according to the time frame selected.

​From/To​

These input fields define the time frame displayed in the curve chart. The time frame is entered in the format ​MM-DD-YYYY.

​Scrollbar​

The scrollbar navigates to a specific date. The sliding controls define the displayed time frame. The dates that are displayed in the input fields ​From/To​ are updated according to the time frame selected.

You can download the chart and the data in the following formats.

  • PNG

  • JPEG

  • PDF

  • SVG (vector)
