Cloud Exports
The Cloud Exports function exports large amounts of raw data for further analysis and processing with external tools. Cloud Exports are only appropriate for Mapp Engage customers who have their own CRM, data warehouse, or business intelligence tool that can process the exported data. The raw data alone does not provide the email marketer with understandable information or any insights into the email marketing success.
A Cloud Export data file contains specific system and recipient activity information in the form of raw data. For example, the Detailed Recipient Activity export contains raw data about message opens and clicks. It excludes calculations of open and click rates.
Available file formats for Cloud Exports are CSV and XML. The user specifies the file encoding (for example, UTF-8) in the export preparation. Mapp Engage generates the CSV or XML file and uploads this file to a server via FTP, SFTP, or SCP. The Mapp Engage customer accesses the file on the server.

Export raw activity and message data for all campaigns.
Obtain detailed behavior data (raw data) for each recipient and use this data for increased personalization in future campaigns.
Examine the reading "context" for the recipient. This context is, for example, the geographical location, email client and version, operating system, and platform.
Perform detailed data analysis with external tools.
Obtain an overview of the effectiveness of your campaign and the behavior of your customers.
Export raw data regarding the use of coupons inMapp Engage(see Coupon Manager).
Export data for Related Data (see Cloud Export File).
Types of Cloud Exports
Mapp has designed several types of Cloud Exports that fit certain, specific customer use cases. Each type of export contains different data. When creating a Cloud Export, the user can select from among the available types of data to be included in the exported file. However, it is not possible to add other types of data to a cloud export, beyond what is included in the default export.
Recipient Activity  | This export is the largest and most detailed export. This export is designed to offer a high volume of raw data about recipients and sendouts. It includes the most important information and activity data for every recipient and every message in a given time frame. |
Aggregated Recipient Activity  | This export is designed to provide detailed insight into the activity level of each individual recipient over a defined period (for example, one month). The data file includes all activity behavior for each recipient (for example, opens, clicks, conversions), aggregated across all messages. |
Link Clicks  | As of December 2015, this export type is no longer available for new customers. New and existing customers can export message link clicks with a Raw Data Export. For more information, see Clicks. This export is for one message only. It provides detailed raw data regarding the message link clicks, including user ID, date and time, and link URL. The link URL includes all link personalizations. This export is therefore especially helpful for customers who work with personalized links. There are two types of link click exports: aggregated and non-aggregated. |
Recipient Context  | As of December 2015, this export type is no longer available for new customers. New and existing customers can export recipient context data with a Raw Data Export. This export is for one message only and provides detailed raw data for the recipient. This export includes the geographical location, email client and version (for example, Outlook 2010), operating system (for example, Windows 10), and platform (for example, desktop). |
Related Data  | This export includes all of the data that are stored in one related data set. The user can select which columns of the data set are included in the export. |
Coupon Report  | The Coupon Manager is an extra paid feature that allows for coupons (for example, barcodes) to be sent to customers via email. The coupon export contains all of the data for the coupon lists, messages, coupons sent, and recipients. |
