Apply a Profile-Based Automation

Goal

To apply a profile-based automation to change the profiles of all contacts in the system.

Prerequisite

• Create a new profile-based automation.

• Activate the profile-based automation. See Activate Profile-Based Automation​.

Background Information​

When you click the ​Apply Automations​ button, Engage applies all automations with the status ​Active​ and reapplies all automations with the status ​Applied​.

This immediately affects all contacts in the system.

The priority determines the order in which the profile-based automations are applied.

You cannot apply profile-based automations individually.

Procedure

1. In the ​Main Navigation​, click ​Automation​.
   ⇒ The ​Whiteboard Overview​ window opens.
2. Click the ​Profile-based​ tab.
   ⇒ The ​Profile-based Automations Overview​ window opens.
3. Click the ​Apply Automations​ button.
   ⇒ Engage applies all automations with the status ​Active​ and reapplies all automations with the status ​Applied​. This can take a long time. When the automation is finished, the owner receives a notification email.
