The Administration area provides access to various administrative and system-related functions.

The Processes area displays processes in your system. This area includes the following processes:

  • Message Sendouts
  • Selections
  • Generated reports
  • Scheduled tasks
  • Imports
  • Exports
  • Mappings

You can interrupt, cancel, or resume processes.

For more information, see Processes.

In the Permissions area, you manage the roles and permissions that are assigned to system user accounts.

Here you can assign a user a different group or system role. You can also change specific permission settings.

Use role and permission settings to control exactly who can see and do what in your system.

For more information, see Permissions.

Credentials is a tab in the Permissions area.

It provides tools for encrypting sensitive information. Use Credentials whenever you transfer sensitive data via an import or export between Mapp Engage and an external system.

Credentials protect your external system against unauthorized access even when an unauthorized user gains access to your Mapp Engage system.

For more information, see Credentials Overview (tab).

Categories are a flexible way to categorize and organize information and objects in the system.

In this area, you can create and manage the following kinds of categories.

  • Link Categories
  • Message Categories
  • Group Categories
  • Content Store Categories
  • Sources

For more information, see Categories.

Conversion Tracking

Conversion Tracking is a tab in the Categories area.

Conversion tracking tracks when a contact reaches a goal page on your website. Usually, this page is the purchase confirmation page. This page can also be an event registration page or any other landing page that you define. Conversion tracking allows you to track when contacts complete a purchase as a direct result of a message you sent with Mapp Engage. Conversion tracking helps you to analyze the overall effectiveness of your digital marketing activities.

Set up conversion tracking to send transactional messages and create other automated programs.

For more information, see Conversion Tracking.

Attributes

Attributes are where you store data in Mapp Engage.

  • A Profile Attribute stores contact profile data. This attribute is where you store all of the data you need for personalized, data-driven digital marketing. Use this data to send personalized messages and to create selections for more targeted messaging.
  • A Group Attribute stores information that pertains to all recipients of a group. One single value that is stored in the attribute is valid for every recipient of that group. Group attributes are an ideal place to store data that changes frequently, and which is not recipient-specific.
  • A member attribute saves information for a user in the context of a group. Member attributes are useful when you have multiple groups with identical attributes that are used to store different data for the same recipients.

For more information, see Attributes.

Related Data

Related Data is a tab in the Attributes area.

Related Data allows you to store and manage a large quantity of data in the Mapp Cloud. Related Data offers many advantages including faster data upload and flexible, simplified, and unlimited data storage.

The data that is stored in Related Data is separate from the data that is stored in the recipient attributes. Related Data can be inserted in messages, which are used for the selection of recipients, or used for personalization.

For more information, see Related Data Criteria.

The Exports area provides tools for exporting data from Mapp Engage. Depending on the export, you can use predefined configurations or you can define an individual export with the specific data that is included in the export.

For more information, see Export Options in Mapp Engage.

The Reports area provides tools for collecting statistical data and generating reports.

For more information, see Reports Overview (window).

Log Tracker

The Log Tracker provides a central location for the review and analysis of system activity. The back-end servers and databases that store information that is used in Mapp Engage record system events as log entries. These entries are collected and displayed in the Log Tracker. System administrators can use the information that this tool displays to improve security, troubleshoot, and plan.

For more information, see Monitoring System Activity.
