  1. In the ​Main Navigation​ , click ​Content​ > ​Landing Pages​ .
    ⇒ The ​Landing Pages​ window opens.
  2. Click ​Create​.
    The ​Landing Page​ window opens to the step ​1. Basic Settings​.

1. Basic Settings​

In step one ​Basic Settings​ you create the basic information for the landing page.

  • Name: This input field defines the name of the landing page. This name is only used to identify the name of the landing page within the Mapp Engage system. A name is mandatory.

  • Description: This input field defines a description of the landing page. A description is optional. The description helps to more clearly identify the landing page within the system.

  • Domain: This drop-down list defines the domain. If only one domain has been defined for your system, this domain is already displayed in the field, and cannot be changed. The domain is a part of the URL that defines where the landing page is accessed. Selection of a domain is mandatory.

  • Page Name: This input field defines the page name for the landing page. The page name is used to define the URL of the landing page. The page name must be unique. It is not necessary to provide an ending such as .html or .jsp. The page name cannot contain any empty spaces or special characters. A page name is mandatory.


Actions: The following actions are available:

  • Cancel: This button cancels the creation or editing of the landing page after an additional confirmation question. All changes are lost.

  • Save: The following actions are available for the button ​Save​:

    • Save: This button saves any changes made. The landing page has the status unpublished until it is published. If the editing of the landing page is cancelled by the ​Cancel​ button, any previously saved contents remain stored and are visible in the table of the ​Landing Pages Overview​.

    • Save & Close: This button saves any changes made. The landing page has the status unpublished until it is published. The window ​Create Landing Page​ closes. The window ​Landing Pages Overview​ opens.

  • Next: This button checks the changes and, if all entries are valid, proceeds to step ​2. Build & Design​. For more information, see 2. Build & Design​
