Normally, when a contact completes a step on the whiteboard plan, the system moves the contact to the next step immediately. To delay contacts before they move to the next step, place a ​Wait​ or ​Schedule element between the steps.

You can combine ​both steps to delay the automation for a particular amount of time and move contacts to the next step at a specified hour of the day.

Export and especially import jobs can take a substantial amount of time to process. If the export and import jobs have not finished, then the next step in your Whiteboard journey will not initiate. Use the ​Wait​ or ​Schedule​ steps to keep your journey running as planned.
