Source statistics – contact development at a glance

The source statistics provide a detailed overview of the number of contacts that exist in the system that were generated by internal or external sources. Internal sources include marketing campaigns or promotions. External sources, however, include sweepstakes that are set up by a partner on an external website.

When contacts are imported into Engage, a specific origin can be assigned with the help of a source ID. This ID makes it possible to evaluate contact generation with regard to quality, specifically its life cycle and origin. You can, for example, evaluate the costs incurred for contact generation compared to the number of newly generated contacts.

For the whole system, you can check how many contacts were acquired for message sendout from internal and external sources.

Source Statistics - Options for Analysis

Source statistics make it possible to evaluate the contacts generated by internal or external sources and their quality. You can determine to what extent a partner program has had a positive effect on your contact list or which campaign has particularly contributed to the acquisition of new contacts.

For each source, you can analyze:

  • how many contacts generated by this source were part of your system at a given time. You get a precise overview of all contacts stored in the system, regardless of status or deactivations.

  • how many active contacts generated by this source are found in your system, and what percentage of the total number of contacts generated by this source do these represent over a specified time frame.

  • how many system-wide deactivated contacts from this source are found in your system, and what percentage of the total number of contacts generated by this source do these represent over a specified time frame.
