Purpose
The Chart View window shows the total number of entries by entry type. A line chart displays this information over points in time for a given time frame. A separate line chart is displayed for each event class. The charts display a line for each event type where at least one event took place in the selected time frame. The line color and symbol correspond with the name of the entry type shown in the legend. An additional line shows the total number of entries for the category.
The chart supports the following interactive features:
Move the pointer over a line to display additional information for an entry class. The tooltip displays the date, event type, and total number of events recorded for the selected point in time.
Click an entry type in the legend to show or hide the line on the chart.

Filter Options
By default, the charts show events that took place in the last 24 hours. The filter options limit the events shown on the charts to a specific time frame or entry class.
Setting | Description |

From | This input field determines the start date and time from which entries display on each chart. This value cannot be set to a date greater than 30 days in the past. |
To | This input field determines the end date and time at which entries display on each chart. This value cannot be set to a date greater than 30 days in the past. |
Entry Class | This area determines which entry classes are displayed in the Chart View window. When no classes are selected, the Chart View window displays charts for all entry classes. |
Available Actions
Action | Description |

Rewind | This button displays the previous interval of time-related to the current time setting. For example, if the values in the To and From input fields are set one hour apart, the Rewind button displays information for the previous hour. |
Forward | This button displays the next interval of time-related to the current time setting. For example, if the values in the To and From input fields are set one hour apart, the Rewind button displays information for the following hour. |
Filter | This button draws each chart according to the time frame entered in the From and To input fields and the selected entry classes. |
Clear | This button removes the values entered in the From and To input fields, clears all selected entry classes, and resets the chart view. |
Print and Export Options
The following options are available from the drop-down list:
