Navigation Path​

  1. In the ​Main Navigation​, click ​Audience​ > ​Administration​.
    ⇒ The ​Contact Management​ window opens.
  2. Click ​All Contacts​.
    ⇒ An overview of all the contacts in your system opens.

Purpose​

This window lists all of the contacts in your system.

Use the actions for each contact to access a range of contact management options.

Hint:

To find a contact who is a member of a specific group, click ​Group Members​ on the ​Contact Management​ window. For more information, see Group Members (tab)​.

Description

​Create​

Opens the ​New Contact Profile​ window. Here, you create a contact profile that adds a single contact to your system. The new contact is not assigned to a group.

​ Select All​

Selects all contacts in the overview.

​Delete​

Deletes the selected contacts. To delete a contact, you must first select them.

After a confirmation message, the system permanently deletes the contact and all contact-specific data from the system. Membership history and message history data for the contact are lost and cannot be recovered.

​Edit Contact Profile​

Opens the ​Contact Profile​ window. Here you can edit the contact profile, including the values that are stored in any attribute for the selected contact. For more information, see Contact Profile (window)​.

Opens the ​Contact Profile​ window.

 | ​Control Address​

Opens the ​Control Address​ window. Here you can add, remove, and edit the groups for which the selected contact is assigned as a control address. For more information, see  Control Addresses​.

 | ​Password​

Opens the ​Password​ window. Here you can change the password of the selected contact. For more information, see New Password (window)​.

 | ​Blacklist​

Opens the ​Add Contact to System Blacklist​ window. A blacklist is a list of contacts and domains to whom no messages are sent. Entry onto the system blacklist deletes the contact from the system and prevents them from being imported again.

When you add a contact to the system blacklist, the system permanently deletes all profile data that is stored for the contact.

 | ​Memberships​

Opens the ​Group Memberships​ window. Here you can see all the groups in which the contact is a member. For more information, see Group Membership (window)​.

 | ​Export Contact​

Prepares the ​Export Contact​ function.

 | ​Anonymize Contact​

Starts the ​Anonymize Contact​ function. Use with care, this function does not require confirmation. When you anonymize a contact the contact is removed from the system. This action cannot be recovered.

Opens the ​Message History​ window. Here you can see all messages that the system sent to the contact. For more information, see Message History (window)​.

Provides options for handling contact profiles as listed in the preceding section under ​Actions​.

Address | SMS | Mobile Push

​Contact ID​

Shows the contact ID that the system assigns automatically when a new contact is added to the system. This contact ID is unique in the system and cannot be changed or edited. This ID identifies the contact even if they change their name or address.

​Optional Identifier​

Shows an optional identifier that is assigned to the contact. For example, an identifier that is used to synchronize contact profiles in the system with an external application.

The maximum length is 2000 characters. If no optional identifier is stored for the contact, this column is empty.

To filter for a specific identifier, enter a value in the corresponding field and click ​Filter​.

​Name​

Shows the last name and first name of the contact. If no values are stored in the ​First Name​ and ​Last Name​ attributes of the contact, this column is empty.

To filter by name, enter a name in the corresponding field and click Filter.

​Address | SMS | Mobile Push​

Shows the email, mobile number, or mobile app alias that is stored for the contact. The type of address that is displayed depends on the filter settings. For example, if you filter the list by email, this column shows only the email address of the contact.

To filter by specific contact information, enter the information in the corresponding field and click ​Filter​.

​Status System-wide​

Shows the status of the contact in the system.

  • ​Deactivated:​ The contact is no longer active in the system.

  • ​Active:​ The contact is active in the system. Active contacts can still be excluded from sendouts for various reasons. For example, due to a Robinson list, selection, or message limitation.

​Registraction Date​

Shows the date that the contact registered in the system.

​Filter​

Sorts contacts according to the values you enter in the filter fields. It is possible to combine multiple filter criteria. Enter at least two characters for your filter criteria.

  • ​Identifier​: Filters contacts by the optional identifier.

  • ​Name​: Filters contacts by first or last name. To display matches, enter all or part of a first or last name.

  • ​Address | SMS | Mobile Push​: Filters contacts by contact channel.

    • ​Address​: Filters for contacts by email address. The system only searches the local part of the email address (the characters that appear before the @ symbol). You cannot filter for email addresses by domain.

    • ​SMS:​ Filters for contacts by mobile number. When you filter by mobile number, do not enter any zeroes or plus signs in front of the country code.
      For example, to filter for a German mobile number, enter 498912009750.

    • ​Mobile Push​: Filters for contacts by mobile app alias.

​Remove Filter​

Removes all filters and displays all available entries.
