This job adds an email address to a system blacklist or group blacklist. In Engage, a blacklist is a register of addresses that the system does not contact.

  • A group blacklist prevents communication from one specific Engage group. The contact is removed from the group and all group-related data is permanently deleted.

  • A system blacklist prevents communication from every group in the Engage system. The contact and all their profile data are permanently deleted from the entire system.

A contact cannot re-subscribe or be reinstated with a blacklisted email address.

It is not possible to use this job to add domain names, mobile phone numbers, or fax numbers to the blacklist. This job only adds email addresses to the blacklist.
