This job adds an existing Engage contact to a Acquire (DMP) audience group.

The contact must exist in the system. This job does not import new contacts.

You need permission​ 1603 Automations: Use Data Management Platform​ to view and use this job.

Hint:

The designation (C) means contact-related. In general, you only combine contact (C) events with contact (C) jobs (see Contact (C) vs. System (S) Automations​).

General

​Name​

Displays the name of the automation that is defined in the ​Edit Event​ window.

​Description​

Displays the description of the automation that is defined in the ​Edit Event​ window.

​Event​

Displays the event that is defined in the ​Edit Event​ window. Every time this event occurs, Engage executes the dependent job.

​Job​

Defines the job. Engage executes this job automatically every time the event occurs. For a list of all available jobs, see ​All Available Event-Based Jobs​.

Define Job​

This area defines the specific parameters of the job.

  • ​Acquire (DMP) Audience:​ Defines the audience group to which contacts are added.

Define Selection​

  • ​Selection:​ Defines the criteria Engage uses to select which contacts are registered to the selected Acquire Audience.

Schedule Automation​

  • ​Schedule: ​Opens step ​2. Schedule Automation​ of the automation wizard. Here you define when the automation is active and how often it can repeat.

  • ​Edit Job: ​Opens step ​1. Edit Job​ of the automation wizard.

  • ​Save & Close:​ Saves changes and closes the automation wizard.
