Navigation Path​

  1. In the Main Navigation​, click ​Content​ > ​Email​ .
    ⇒ The  ​Email​ window opens to the ​Email Messages​ tab.
  2. Click ​Email Templates​.
    ⇒ The ​Select Email Template​ window opens.
  3. Click ​Create​.
    ⇒ The ​New Email Template​ window opens.

Purpose​

In this window, you define the name of the new email template. You can select the framework that you want to use for the new template.

What can I do in this window?

  • Create a template based on a predefined framework. You can see all frameworks available in the system.
    If you do not select a specific framework, Mapp Engage automatically uses the first framework in the view.

  • View the available framework in list view or card view.

​Save​

Saves the new template. The ​Compose Email Template​ window opens.

This button is available when you define the name of your new template.

​Cancel​

Closes the window without saving your changes.

Settings​

Setting

Description

​Name​

Defines the name of the template in Engage. The name helps to identify the template for use in a message.

The template name can be edited in the ​Compose Email Template​ window.

The name is limited to 250 characters.

Once you defined a name, the ​Save​ button is available.

Information ​

The table provides a list of available frameworks in your Engage system.

To select a framework for the new email template, click the desired framework.

​Name​

Shows the name of the framework.

​Author​

Shows the name of the system user who created the framework.

​Creation Date​

Shows the date and time the framework was created.

​Last Changed​

Shows the date and time the framework was last updated.

Display Options​

Description

Displays the records in card view. To select a record, enable the check box.

The card view shows the most relevant information of a record:

  • Name

  • Last updated

  • Author

  • Character encoding

Displays the records in list view. To select a record, click the row.

The list view shows detailed information for a record:

  • Name

  • Author

  • Creation date

  • Last updated

  • Status

Filters the list of records by entering filter criteria in the column header.

This button is only visible in list view.

Sorts the list of records by clicking the sort arrows in a column. The records are sorted by the value in the selected column. Click the arrows a second time to sort the list in the opposite direction. Click the arrows a third time to stop sorting by this value.

By default records are sorted by name from A to Z or 0 to 9.

This button is only visible in list view.

Adds or removes columns from the current view. Click  and clear a check box to remove a column from the table.

This button is only visible in list view.

Closes the window.

This button is visible until you define the name of your new template.
