The default method for collecting digital media activities uses a pixel-based integration. In this method, you add the corresponding pixel to the ad unit as a third-party impression, or as a click tracker in the execution platform. These pixels can be exported directly from within the Mapp Acquire interface and are different for each platform.
However, to import accurate data from digital media activities, Mapp can also set up S2S, or API integrations with execution platforms such as ad servers. This solution involves a custom integration. The actual use case determines the suitable integration in a given situation. The pixel-based integration involves industry-accepted discrepancies, and this integration allows you to identify a user for audience-building purposes. The other types of integrations are normally used for reporting purposes only.
